Athens Bible Church feels an important emphasis should be placed on supporting foreign missions for the purpose of planting Bible teaching churches. Because of this, 20% of all offerings go to support missionaries and mission organizations.
We often hear from the missionaries through letters, phone calls and the internet. When they visit the United States, many stop by the Church for fellowship and to update the congregation on how the Lord is guiding and blessing their works. In addition, they usually provide a look at the culture of the countries where they are located and the state of Christianity in those countries.
Athens Bible Church works with several mission organizations and Pastor Hixson served on the United States Board of Gospel Mission of South America.
